AIF William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India for graduates

The American India Foundation (AIF) is inviting applications from eligible citizens of India and U.S.A. for the 2015 William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India. The placement could be anywhere in India and includes a stipend, as also all costs associated with travel to the placement being covered. Last date to submit your application is February 1st, 2015.

Eligibility criteria
1. Citizenship: You must be a citizen / permanent resident of India/U.S.A.

2. Age: You must be between 21 and 34 years of age as on 1st September, 2015.

3. Educational Qualification: You should have completed your graduate degree as on 1st September, 2015.

4. Skills: 
  • You must have professional skills and the ability to build relationships across cultures. 
  • You should be eager to learn be humble and responsible. 
  • You should have a commitment to social and economic development in India. 
  • You should be willing to adapt to challenging living and working conditions. 
  • Fluency in English is required and local language skills, though not a mandatory requirement, will be an asset.
Fellowship features
1. You will get a living stipend and all costs associated with travel to the placement will be covered by the funding.

2. There will be an orientation-cum-training program when the program begins in September of the current year, a midpoint retreat in January of the following year and an endpoint conference at the end of June the following year.

3. Your work responsibilities and role: You will support partner organizations of AIF to meet their HR and project requirements through training, sharing your skills and capacity-building. Your work responsibilities will be based on your own specific skills, interests and experience. Projects which are supported are varied, such as program design and implementation, monitoring & evaluation, creating business strategies, etc.
