Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Delhi Atal Bihari Vajpayee Fellowship 2019

Looking for Government of India Fellowship programs based in New Delhi? The Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML), New Delhi invites applications from eminent scholars for its newly launched fellowship scheme "Atal Bihari Vajpayee Fellowship on Prime Ministers of India".

Who can apply
The NMML fellowship scheme is open to individuals  who are eminent scholars with noteworthy contributions to the knowledge in their fields. The should also have had some experience in conducting research or providing guidance in research work with at least two published books. 







About the Fellowship
1. Duration: The Fellowship scheme is of two years, starting from the date of reporting to NMML. 

2. Location: The main base will be New Delhi. In case you are going abroad during the course of the Fellowship, it should be with prior intimation and should not exceed three months. You are permitted to do field work which does not exceed four months.

2. Remuneration: The remuneration will be on par with that given to a Professor of a Central University, with the amount same as the annual increment in the post at the parent institution as per the dates when it will falls due to the candidate there. 
(a) In the case of candidates who have superannuation, it will be fixed as per the last pay drawn. 
(b) For candidates who are self-employed or are unemployed or currently working in the private sector, the amount will be fixed at the beginning of the revised scale laid down for the Fellowship. 

There is provision for reimbursement of expenses up to a limit of Rs.30,000/- per annum. This will be expenses incurred on books which are not in NMML, stationery, travel, etc. CPF/GPF facilities will be extended only to scholars having permanent jobs who take up the Fellowship at the NMML after taking leave without pay from their parent institution.

3. Requirements: You will be expected to participate in workshops, seminars, etc as scheduled by NMML and also contribute to the academic aspects of the institute.

4. After the first year, the Fellowship will be continued based on a review of the research work submitted after 10 months to the Expert Review Committe.

Preference will be given to those who would use the archival records of NMML for their research. Members of the Selection Committee, NMML Society, Executive Council or NMML staff cannot be a referee.
