The National Board of Examinations (NBE) will be conducting the DNB final examination on 13 th and 14 th December, 2014 in various broad specialties and super specialties. The application form should be submitted latest by 30 th September, 2014.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) invites applications for admissions for the October 2014 exam. NIOS is an examination Board of the Govt. of India which is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. It offers online admission for secondary and senior secondary courses under Stream II for unsuccessful candidates of recognized Boards. The last date for applying for the October 2014 exam has been extended to 31 st July, 2014.

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra has issued the admission notification for admission to the Direct Second Year (DSE) of four year full time degree courses in Engineering / Technology for the academic year 2014-2015. Applications should be submitted online from 19 th July, 2014 to 28 th July, 2014.

Looking to use your professional skills for social work? The Xavier's Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC) is offering a unique training program in the field of social work for the visually impaired. The program is known as XAP, short for XRCVC Associate Program. It will begin in August this year and requires a commitment of one year.  There are different projects under the program, for which thorough training will be provided to the Associates. 

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced the schedule for the National Level Common Management Test (CMAT) for admission to management programs for the academic year 2015-2016. This announcement is for the first Test, scheduled for September 2014. The second test will be conducted in February 2015. Students thus get the opportunity to appear for CMAT twice, with the better of the two scores being considered for admission.
