The number of scholarships at a particular institution is dependent on the course and the number of seats that are recognized/authorized by the official authority. The awardees are selected by the State Government/Union Territory to which the applicant actually belongs (as per the norms of domicile of the State/UT). At the outset, it is important to note that only educational institutions/colleges having the AISHE  (All India Survey on Higher Education) /UDISE  (Unified District Information System for Education)  Code are eligible for the scholarship scheme.
