UGC-NET Junior Research Fellowship & Lectureship Eligibility June 2013

University Grants Commission NET-Bureau will be conducting the next UGC-NET (National Educational Test) for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship on 30th June 2013 (Sunday). Only online applications will be accepted.


UGC-NET Fees
  • Exam Fee: Rs.450/-
  • General Candidates: Rs.450/-
  • Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer): Rs.225/-
  • SC/ST/PWD candidates: Rs.110/-
How to pay the fees
1. You have to fill in the Bank Challan form in triplicate. The 3 forms are for: Bank copy, UGC copy and copy for you.
2. All 3 copies of the Challan Form have to be submitted in any branch of State Bank of India along with the bank charges (commission) of Rs.20/-. The bank will retain its copy. Make sure that the bank returns the other 2 copies of the challan to you.
3. You have to attach the UGC copy of the challan with the printout of online Application Form, which you will need to submit to the Registrar/Principal of UGC-NET Coordinating University/College opted by the candidate.
4. Please note that fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be rejected.
 5. The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Important Notes
1. You must apply online only for the UGC-NET June 2013 at www.ugcnetonline.in
OR through a link available on the UGC website (www.ugc.ac.in).
2. Before making your online application, you must keep ready a scanned passport size photograph in JPEG format of less than 300 kb.
3. Once you fill in the requisite details online for NET, your Bank Challan will be automatically generated. You can take a printout of this Bank Challan for payment through cash, on the next working dayat any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) along with bank charges (commission) of Rs.20/-.
4. 2 after the payment of fee at SBI through filled Bank Challan, you will need to check the status of the fee payment at the UGC website (www.ugcnetonline.in). When you see the ‘OK’ status, you should take a printout of the online Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admission Card (1 copy of each) on separate A-4 size papers.

The UGC-NET 2013 Test Time Schedule
There will be 2 sessions of the paper on the same date, which is 30th June 2013.

Format of UGC-NET paper
There will be 3 papers for the test, with each paper having only objective type questions

Paper 1: There will be general type questions, which aims to assess your teaching & research aptitude This paper will have 60 multiple choice questions, out of which you will need to answer any 50. If you answer more than 50, then the first 50 questions only will be evaluated.

Paper 2: There will be 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate.

Paper 3: There will be 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate.
