GATE 2015 timetable schedule

The official website of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) has announced the schedule for GATE 2015. Important dates, including dates of the exam are provided below. IIT Kanpur is the organizing institute for the exam.

Why you should apply for GATE

Admission is open for all those who successfully qualify in GATE to Postgraduate courses, which includes both Master's and Doctoral programs, with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) as well as other Government Scholarships/Assistantship in the fields of Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science.

Further, reputed Government companies conduct recruitment drives for trainees for those who have qualified in GATE. You can thus successfully launch your future career, starting as a management trainee or an engineering trainee with good stipends and getting absorbed in the same company later on with full benefits and perks with potential of promotions.

GATE 2015 Exam Dates

The GATE will be conducted between 31^st January 2015 and 14^th February 2015, on Saturdays and Sundays. 

Timetable:

1. 31st January, 2015: 

• Session 1: 9a.m. to 12 noon [FN session]

       Test Paper codes: AG, AR, BT, CH, CY, EC, EY, XE, XL

• Session 2: 2p.m. to 5p.m. [AN session]

       Test Paper codes: EC, ME

2. 1st February, 2015:

• Session 1: 9a.m. to 12 noon [FN session]

       Test Paper codes: EC, ME

• Session 2: 2p.m. to 5p.m. [AN session]

       Test Paper codes: AE, GG, IN, MA, ME, MN, MT, PH, PI, TF

3. 7th February, 2015:

• Session 1: 9a.m. to 12 noon [FN session]

       Test Paper codes: CS, EE

• Session 2: 2p.m. to 5p.m. [AN session]

       Test Paper codes: CS, EE

4. 8th February, 2015:

• Session 1: 9a.m. to 12 noon [FN session]

       Test Paper codes: CE, CS

• Session 2: 2p.m. to 5p.m. [AN session]

       Test Paper codes: CE

Important Dates for Online Application
1. Commencement of online application: 1^st September 2014 (Monday) 

2. Last date to submit online application, including uploading of requisite documents (proof of eligibility, photo, etc): 1^st October 2014 (Wednesday).

Application Fees

• For General / OBC category candidates: Rs. 1,500/-
• For female candidates: Rs.750/-
• For SC/ST/PwD category candidates: Rs.750/-

Note: The application fee is not refundable.
