August 2015 Certificate course on the Rise of Superheroes and their Impact on Pop Culture
The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and
EdX are offering a course to find out how comic books became popular, why
superheroes were created, etc.
Duration: 5 weeks, 1-2 hours per week required
Course starts: 12th August, 2015
Course features
Language and video transcripts are in English. You will learn about how super heroes evolved from myths & traditional folk legends, how comic books became the basis for movies, why some super heroes are super villains, etc.
On successful completion of the course, you will receive a digital artwork from a current comic book artist, digitally signed by Stan Lee and Michael Uslan.
Course Fee: Free. If you wish to get a certification certificate, the fee is $50.
