Online applications open for Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti JNVs for Class IX vacant seats 2020-21
Looking for admission to Class 9 of a JNV? Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has issued the admission notification for vacant seats in Class IX in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) for the academic session 2020-2021. Online submission of the applications for admissions will be accepted from 25th October 2019.
JNV Features
A Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) is a residential co-educational school with separate hostels for boys and girls. Free education, boarding and lodging are provided to the students. While focus is on quality education, sports and games are promoted, too, and students can participate in the activities of NCC, NSS and Scouts and Guides. Under the unique migration scheme, students get an insight into cultures and traditions of other Districts.
Eligibility requirements
Candidates studying in Class VIII in the academic session 2019-2020 in Govt./Govt.-recognized schools in the same District where the JNV is functioning and to which they are seeking admission, are eligible to apply. Further, a candidate seeking admission must be born between 1st May 2004 and 30th April 2008 (both days inclusive). This is applicable to all categories of candidates, including those applying in the SC/ST categories.
