IIT Bombay is hiring Campus Ambassadors for Techfest 2023

The Indian Insitute of Technology, Mumbai (IIT-B) is a premier institute ranked 4th in the overall category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 rankings. Admission to a course at IIT-B is much sought-after, with its excellent faculty, campus infrastructure, and encouragement for innovative ideas. The co-curricular activities and clubs are popular, as also its annual science and technology festival that is organized and managed very competently by the students, namely, the IIT-B Techfest. Currently, the festival committee invites students to take up the role of Campus Ambassador for Techfest. The selection process is simple, through an assessment question. There are approximately a thousand openings. The role

As a Techfest Campus Ambassador, you will be required to conduct seminars/workshops, and organize competitions to promote the festival, generally acting as the go-between, connecting the students of your college and the Techfest organizers. You will be having discussions with the organizers and other Campus Ambassadors, bringing forth innovative ideas for the Fest.

Eligibility requirements

You need to have a valid student ID card and are required to be available for at least three months, beginning the work between 6th June to 11th July 2023. You are expected to have a keen enthusiasm for the work, good communication skills, time management skills, and relevant skills to promote and market Techfest, including skills in social media marketing, digital marketing, event management, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

If you show excellent performance as a Campus Ambassador, you will get free accommodation on the IIT Bombay campus during the Techfest, and an internship opportunity. The highest performing Campus Ambassadors will receive a letter of recommendation from Techfest, IIT Bombay, as well as a rank-based Social Media Marketing Internship Certificate.

Outhouse Hindi Film Review

Outhouse directed by Sunil Sukthankar and produced by Mohan Agashe, also playing one of the characters, is a charming film on the generational divide. The film was screened last month at the Third Eye Asian Film Festival in Mumbai and Thane, Maharashtra. On the face of it, Outhouse is about two elders, namely Nana, played by Agashe, and Aadima played by Sharmila Tagore who find themselves in conflict over the rightful owner of her grandson Neel’s pet poodle after it goes missing. But within that story arc, the writer, the late Sumitra Bhave, makes the film a gentle paean on urban loneliness, working women’s struggles, the precocity of children, and the fraught terrain of marriages and peripatetic lives.
