YMCA Delhi Office Management Diploma Courses - Eligibility, Fees, Application Process

The YMCA's Institute for Office Management (IOM), New Delhi conducts courses for individuals keen to work in administrative and general staff roles in an office, such as in the post of an office manager or work as an executive or secretary or personal office assistant. Having initially launched shorthand and typewriting training courses, IOM started advanced programs in office management over two decades ago. These include diploma programs and short-term courses, all of which provide in-depth knowledge and training, creating competent employees with proficiency in office management skills. The experienced faculty is well-qualified to deliver the course modules and upgrade their skills as per the corporate sector's current requirements. Placement assistance is provided and IOM students have taken up employment opportunities in the private and public sectors.

Diploma in Office Management

This Diploma program is for one year with English as the medium of instruction.

Eligibility criteria: Students who have cleared the 10+2 exam and those who are awaiting the Class 12 result are eligible to apply.

Course Modules: In addition to training in shorthand and developing typewriting skills on a computer, you will learn how to use relevant computer software essential for office management. Functional English and business-associated English communication and presentation skills are also part of the curriculum. Internships of 15 days to one month may be included as per availability.

Course Batches Schedule: To enroll for the January batch, admissions are open from November to February, while for the July batch, admissions are open from April to August.

Course Fee: The total course fee is Rs. 82,265/- (including GST), for which the first installment of Rs. 40,000/- should be paid at the time of admission. The second installment is Rs. 25,000/-, the third is Rs. 10,885/-, and the fourth is Rs. 10,885/-. Each of these should be paid on time as per the given schedule, otherwise there is a small penalty charge for each delayed day.

Diploma in Office Management (ADOM)

This Diploma program is for two years with English as the medium of instruction.

Eligibility criteria: Students who have cleared the 10+2 exam and those who are awaiting the Class 12 result are eligible to apply.

Course Modules: In addition to learning shorthand, computer knowledge and typewriting skills on a computer, you will learn functional English and relevant communication and presentation skills. Finance, HR, corporate, sales and marketing are the areas of management which form part of the curriculum. All students must take up an internship of three months.

Course Fee: The total course fee is Rs. 1,59,180/- (including tax), The first installment of Rs. 4,530/- should be paid at the time of admission. The second installment is Rs. 28,355/-, the third Rs. 22,324/-, the fourth is Rs. 23,323/-, the fifth is Rs. 22,324/-, and the last is Rs. 22,323/-.

Lateral Entry to this course: If you have completed a one-year diploma course in office management at any institute, you can apply for admission to the second year of the Advance Diploma in Office Management (ADOM).

Course Fee: The total course fee for one year is Rs. 86,060/-(including GST). The fee structure break-up is- Rs. 40,000/- at the time of admission, Rs. 16,460/- is the second installment, and Rs.  14,800/- has to be paid as the third and fourth installment each.

Post Graduate Diploma in Office Management (PGDOM)

This is a one-year program for which Graduates can apply. You can opt for weekend classes conducted every Saturday.

Course Modules: In addition to learning shorthand, computer typing and computer applications, you will develop business communication skills. Management concepts related to organizational behavior, sales and marketing, HR, etc are the areas of management which form part of the curriculum. As per availability, internships of 15 days to one month may be scheduled.

Course Fee: The total course fee is Rs. 1,02,875/-. Rs. 40,000/- should be paid as the first installment at the time of admission. The second installment is Rs. 21,769/-, the third installment is Rs. 20, 553/-, and the fourth installment is Rs. 20,553/-.

Application procedure

You can apply either online or in person at the office. The online registration fee is Rs. 600/-.
