Central Hindi Directorate Hindi Certificate and Diploma Correspondence Courses Admissions 2026

Learn Hindi through a Correspondence Course! The Central Hindi Directorate, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India invites applications for admission to the one-year Hindi certificate and diploma correspondence courses for the upcoming academic year 2026-27. Online applications for the courses should be submitted by 31st July 2026. Foreign nationals and NRIs are also eligible to apply. The list of courses, fee, and eligibility requirements for each is given below.

Certificate Course in Hindi

This is a preliminary course through English/Tamil/Malayalam/Bangla/Odia medium.

Eligibility: Indians whose mother tongue is not Hindi (no restriction of mother tongue for foreign nationals and NRIs) and wish to acquire a basic knowledge of Hindi. Age criterion - The minimum age should be 10 years as of 1st July 2026.

Fee: 

Indian currency- INR50/-

Foreign currency- $50 or equivalent

Diploma Course in Hindi

This is a course subsequent to the Certificate Course through English/Tamil/Malayalam/Bangla medium.

Eligibility: Indians whose mother tongue is not Hindi (no restriction of mother tongue for foreign nationals and NRIs) and have a basic knowledge of Hindi. Age criterion - The minimum age should be 12 years as of 1st July 2026.

Fee:

Indian currency- INR 50/-

Foreign currency- $50 or equivalent

Advanced Diploma Course in Hindi

This is a course of the senior secondary level through Hindi medium only.

Eligibility: Indians whose mother tongue is not Hindi (no restriction of mother tongue for foreign nationals and NRIs) and have an adequate knowledge of Hindi. Age criterion - The minimum age should be 14 years as of 1st July 2026.

Fee: 

Indian currency- INR 200/-

Foreign currency- $200 or equivalent
