Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council 2026 E-YUVA Fellowship with Financial Support for Translational Research

The Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India invites applications for Proposals under the E-YUVA Scheme which promotes value-added entrepreneurial innovative translational research. Through a Fellowship and Research Grant, students receive financial support, technical and business mentorship, and more. The closing date for submission of applications is 31st October 2026. 

BIRAC E-YUVA Scheme Categories

1. E-YUVA Fellows: Up to 150 students who are pursuing undergraduate programs will be supported to undertake entrepreneurial projects. First- and second-year undergraduate students are encouraged to apply. The Fellowship is provided for12 months.

2. Innovation Fellows: Up to 27 postgraduate or postdoctoral students will be supported to undertake entrepreneurial projects. The Fellowship is provided for 18 months with a provision of a six-month extension only for deserving cases.
