Mayo College Girls School Ajmer admission process and fees

A sibling of Mayo College, the Mayo College Girls' School (MCGS) in Ajmer is a residential boarding school for girls from Class IV to Class XII. Founded in 1988, the educational curriculum is as per the ICSE and ISC Boards. The academic year is from April to March with the summer vacations from May 3rd to 9th July and the winter vacations from December 1st to 10th January.

MCGS Affiliation
The Mayo College  Girls School Ajmer is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination. At the end of the academic year in March, there are 2 exams: 
1. At the end of Std. X, for which successful students are awarded the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) 
2. At the end of Std. XII for which successful students are awarded the Indian School Certificate (ISC)

Subjects offered: English, Hindi, French, Sanskrit, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi,  Maths, History and Civics, Geography, General Science, Home Science and Hygiene, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Commerce. In addition, students have: craft, needlework, dance, music and SUPW.

For Std. XI & Std. XII: 3 streams are offered - Science, Commerce and Humanities - with students having to do a compulsory English paper + 4 or 5 other subjects from the stream chosen.

Assessments: Unit tests, Class tests and Examinations.  

MCGS Classes:
1. Junior school students: Class IV to Class VI
2. Middle & Senior school students: Class VIII to SC

MCGS Admission Process
Students can get admission to the school in the 3rd week of November through a Common Aptitude Analysis which is conducted at various centers in India. International students can appear for it at their local India embassy. The child can appear for the analysis on passing Std. III preferably from an English medium school.  The candidate is evaluated in English, Hindi and Mathematics to test age-specified skills in languages & Mathematics.
