DTE Maharashtra 2014 admissions for DSE Engineering & Technology Degree courses

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra has issued the admission notification for admission to the Direct Second Year (DSE) of four year full time degree courses in Engineering / Technology for the academic year 2014-2015. Applications should be submitted online from 19^th July, 2014 to 28^th July, 2014.

The Courses

The admission is to Direct Second Year (DSE) of 4-year full time degree courses in Engineering / Technology in AICTE approved Government, Government-aided (including autonomous), University managed, University Departments and unaided institutes (including autonomous and minority) in the State of Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria through CAP

• You should be an Indian national
• You should have passed the Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma course in engineering/technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the appropriate branch of engineering / technology from an AICTE approved institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.

    OR

• You should have passed the B.Sc. degree from a UGC / Association of Indian Universities’ recognized university with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed Std XII exam with Mathematics as the subject and with English as the medium of instruction at B.Sc. level.

How to Apply

1. Purchase the application kit from any nearest Application Form Receipt Centre (ARC), with payment in cash of Rs.500/- for General category Maharashtra State candidates (Rs.400/- for reserved category and physically handicapped candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only). Sign on the printout of the online filled application form and attach the requisite copies of documents.

2. Report in person to the ARC for confirmation of application form along with attested true copies and original documents for verification as per the schedule given below. Application should be submitted online and subsequently confirmed at ARCs – only then will the application be considered for further processing.

Note: Applications sent by post, courier, etc to the ARC or DTE office will be rejected.

• Sale of Information Brochure and Application Kit at ARCs for Maharashtra candidates: 19^th July, 2104 up to 28^th July, 2014 up to 5p.m.
• Filling up and submission of online application from for Maharashtra candidates: 19^th July, 2104 up to 28^th July, 2014 up to 5p.m.
• Confirmation of application form & document verification in person at ARC: 19^th July, 2104 up to 29^th July, 2014 up to 5p.m.
• Declaration of provisional merit list: 30^th July, 2014 at 5p.m.
• Submission of grievance applications, if any, at ARC: 1^st to 2^nd August, 2014 up to 5p.m.
• Display of final merit list on website: 3^rd August 2014 at 5p.m.
