2014-2015 UGC Social Sciences research scholarships for girl child

The University Grants Commission (UGC) is offering special scholarships for the single girl child for research in Social Sciences for the year 2014-2015. This is the Swami Vivekanad Scholarship having 300 slots. Applications for this scholarship should be made online only up to 30th November 2014.

 Number of scholarships: 300

 Eligibility Criteria
1. The scholarship is offered only for girl students who are have gained admission in a regular full time Ph.D. program in Social Sciences in a recognized university/institute.

 2. The student must be the only girl child in the family without having any sibling (brother). The student who is a twin daughter or fraternal daughter can apply for this scholarship. 

 3. The student must be up to the age of 40 years (general candidates) / 45 years (SC/ST/OBC and Physically Handicapped category candidates) at the time of admission in the Ph.D. course.
