Sir Ganga Ram Hospital’s School of Nursing invites applications from female candidates for the General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course for the academic session 2025-26. Started in 1956, the School of Nursing is affiliated with the Delhi Nursing Council and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Interested candidates seeking admission to the GNM course have to appear for an entrance exam. On program completion, they will receive a diploma awarded by the Delhi Nursing Council. The last date to submit applications is 25th June 2025.
About the GNM Course
Overview: The General Nursing & Midwifery Course (GNM) course incorporates theoretical academic sessions in the fields of humanities, biological, and behavioral sciences, as well as practical sessions to develop competency in nursing. Students get training in curative, preventive, promotive, and rehabilitative healthcare services, learn the ethical aspects, and develop administrative abilities, leadership skills, and research skills, all of which are beneficial for professional development. Students are also encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. Hostel accommodation with mess facilities is provided to the students on request, with preference given to out-of-state students.

Eligibility Requirements: (1) Age
Criterion: You should be at least 17
years of age as of 31st December 2025 (up to a maximum of 22 years of age). (2) Educational
Qualifications: You should have completed the 10+2 level of education in
Science/Arts/Commerce. The eligibility extends to students from Science,
Commerce, and Arts streams with a minimum aggregate score of 50% in the best
four subjects, and having passed English in the qualifying exam. For students who are foreign nationals, the entry qualification equivalency, that is, Std. 12,
should be obtained by the Association of Indian Universities. Mediclaim and
medical benefits are also available (refer to the official prospectus for
details).
Entrance Exam: You have to appear for the entrance exam to evaluate your knowledge and aptitude in relevant subjects.

GNM Course Fees
- First Year Total Fee: INR 1,00,000/-
- Second Year Total Fee: INR 1,00,000/-
- Third Year Total Fee: INR 1,00,000/-
Additional fee: The Mess
fee is INR 2,800/-.
Placement: On successful
completion of the course, you will have the opportunity to work as a trained staff
in Super Speciality departments of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, subject to
availability of vacancies.

- Date of Entrance Exam: 30th June 2025 (Monday), 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the School of Nursing, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (you should report at the venue 45 minutes before exam time).
- Result Declaration of Entrance Exam: 5th July 2025, at 3 p.m.
- Counselling Dates: 9th and 10th July 2025
- Declaration of Selected Candidates: 14th July 2025
- Last date to submit course fee: 23rd July 2025
