School of International Biodesign iFellowship January 2016

The School of International Biodesign (SIB) invites applications from eligible students for is iFellowship. The SIB program is supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India at AIIMS and IIT New Delhi. The program is in collaboration with international partners. Applications should be submitted online by 30th August, 2015.

About the SIB iFellowship
The SBI iFellowship is a year-long international inter-disciplinary hands-on training program. You will be part of a team of innovators who will collaborate to identify unmet clinical needs, work on designing and prototyping of solutions and develop business plans for implementation of these technologies.

Selected candidates will receive a stipend and tuition fees and travel will be covered, as also health benefits will be available.

Duration
The iFellowship program is for 12 months, beginning from January 2016. It is a full time program.

Program venue
The iFellowship is being conducted at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in partnership with Stanford University, USA, Queensland University of Technology, Australia and partners from Germany and Japan.

Eligibility criteria
  • You should be a graduate or post graduate with a degree in Medicine, Engineering, Design or Business.
  • You should have a passion for invention and development of innovative medical technologies.
  • You must be willing to devote 12 months for the iFellowship program which will involve travel to partner institutions / universities in USA, Australia, Japan or Germany.
  • Preference will be given to those who have a demonstrated track record or innovation, a passion for entrepreneurship and are willing to work in a team.
Selection process
Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at New Delhi.
