National Entrance Screening Test 2016 application process

The 2016 National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) schedule for admissions to NISER and UM-DAE CBS has been announced. The test will be held on May 28th 2016. Applications will be opened on January 4th 2016 and will close on March 4th 2016.
About NEST
The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a mandatory test for those aspiring to get admission to the 5-year integrated M.Sc. program in basic sciences, namely, Bilogy, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai, Dept. of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai. The test is conducted in more than 50 towns and cities in India.
Those who get admissions to NISER and UM-DAE CBS can apply for an INSPIRE scholarship which is instituted by the Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. This is an annual scholarship of Rs.60,000/- with an additional amount up to Rs.20,000/- per year for a summer/winter internship. 
How to apply for NEST 2016
1. You must submit your application in online mode only at: www.nestexam.in
 
 2. You need to pay the requisite fee either online through Net banking/credit card/debit card or through a Demand Draft (DD). The DD should be made in favour of NISER-NEST and payable at Bhubaneswar. For a DD payment, you will need to send a summary page of the online application from and the original demand draft of the required amount to:
