Online registrations for NEST 2019 for NISER and UM-DAE CEBS M.Sc. Basic Sciences admissions
Are you searching for details of an M.Sc. integrated course in basic sciences in India? Want to register for NEST-2019 entrance exam? The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai's Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai are both having a 5-year integrated program in basic sciences, namely, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. You can register for the entrance test NEST-2019 to get admission to the course.
About NEST-2019 paper format
Sections 2 to 5: Questions from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics – 50 marks each section, with negative marking for an incorrect answer for certain questions. Some questions may have one or more correct answers, in which case you will get marks for marking all correct answers and no wrong answer.
Exam fee
1. For General and OBC category male candidates: Rs.1,200/-.
2. For SC and ST male candidates: Rs.600/-.
First, you need to enter the basic details about your personal information, provide
academic details and select your choice of exam centres. For academics, you need to provide details of qualifying board exams of both Class 10 and Class
12. Once you have submitted the basic details, you will get an application number on the next page. This number will be required for all further communications up to the
time of getting admission.
The Scholarships
Students can avail of merit-based INPSIRE annual scholarships of Rs.60,000/-, Additionally, Rs.20,000/- for summer internship is provided.

1. You should be from a science stream,
preferably with a combination of 3 subjects among Biology, Chemistry,
Mathematics and Physics in classes XI and XI
2. You should have passed the Class 12 exam or its
equivalent from any recognised Board in India in the years 2017 or 2018 or be
appearing for the exam in 2019. If you are appearing for the board exam in
2019, then you must pass it by the time of admission.
3. You should have secured at least 60% marks in
aggregate or equivalent grade in Class 12 exam to be eligible for admission to
NISER and CEBS (55% in aggregate for SC, ST & PD candidates.
4. Age criteria: You should be born on or after 1st
August 1999 (for general & OBC candidates). The age limit is relaxed by 5
years for SC / ST / PD candidates.)
Note: Those securing a position in the NEST-2019 list will be eliigible for admission to the course. You must submit all the
requisite certificates supporting eligibility criteria only at the time of
admission.
About NEST-2019 paper format
The syllabus for NEST-2019 is based on
the NCERT/ CBSE science syllabus of Classes 11 and 12. The question paper of NEST-2019 will be in English only.
There are 5 sections, with each section having questions in the Multiple Choice
Question (MCQ) format:
Section 1: General Section - 30

Next, you need to upload JPG files of your passport size photograph and of
your signature. The scanned images of these should be in JPEG format
with sizes of maximum 100KB each and the images must be properly
cropped.
In the last part of the online application
process, you have to make the online payment of the application fee.
Submit the application after reviewing it. Then a summary page will be generated and you can take a print out of
it directly, keeping one copy for future reference.
