Dayawanti Punj Model School (DPMS) is looking for a new Principal for the CBSE school who will take up the leadership role to foster a creative learning ambiance. Applicants with the ability to make quick decisions, especially in any situation where a major problem may arise, undertake all responsibilities competently, including supervising the education staff and overseeing daily operations, should apply. Comprehensive knowledge of the national education system and all rules and regulations, along with excellent communication skills in English and Hindi is essential.

About DPMS

Dayawanti Punj Model School, a CBSE-affiliated English medium senior secondary school located in Sitamarhi, Uttar Pradesh is a division of Pt. Kanahya Lal Dayawanti Punj Foundation. The contemporary campus has smart classrooms, separate hostels for boys and girls, an air-conditioned multipurpose hall, a gym, a medical room, a swimming pool, rooms for music and dance, and facilities for outdoor sports and indoor games.

Brief role and responsibilities

The Principal will oversee the daily operations of the school, managing the logistics and budgets, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for everyone on campus. Other responsibilities including setting up an appraisal system for the performance of teachers, providing a periodic review of the school’s overall performance to the Board members, scheduling relevant workshops and seminars on educational trends for teachers and for administrators, and setting up a system to recruit school personnel as and when required.

Remuneration

The compensation for the appointed candidate will be in the range of Rs.1.25-Rs.1.35 lakhs per month, and air-conditioned accommodation will be provided. The remuneration package is open to review for exceptional candidates. An additional retention amount will also be offered.

Eligibility requirements

You should have a clear vision for the school with a passion to take up  a leadership role. You should ideally have previous experience as a Principal of at least five years with hands-on experience in education management systems, as well as knowledge of school administrative processes, and of National Educational Regulations. You should have good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact with, and inspire, students and faculty.
