NSUT and IGDTUW Delhi B.Arch. Spot Round Admissions 2023

Joint Admission Counselling (JAC), Delhi has announced the date for the 2023 Spot Round of Counselling for Admissions to the B. Arch. program against vacant seats. The spot round admissions will be done on the basis of the Common Rank List (CRL). That is, you can participate in the spot round admission if you have qualified JEE Main-2023 (Paper-II) or National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)-2023.

The participating Universities of the spot round of admissions are-

1. Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) 

2. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University of Technology (IGDTUW)

Eligibility for JAC Delhi B.Arch. Spot Round Admissions

You must be a registered candidate of JAC Delhi and are eligible if any of the following scenarios apply-

  • You have not been offered any seat and have not taken admission to any programs offered by any of the participating Universities/Institutes in any round.
  • You can participate if you were allotted a seat in any of the counselling rounds but did not report for admission.
  • You did not fill in any choice during the online registration process.
  • You got a seat in some round of counselling, but the allotted seat was cancelled for a legitimate reason.
  • You got a seat in some round of counselling, but you withdrew the seat from the counselling.

Schedule of Spot Roud Admissions

Date: 2nd August 2023.

Venue: APJ Lecture Theatre Complex of Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Delhi.

Documents required-

1. A printout of the JAC Delhi registration form (it should have been printed after 29th July 2023) 

2. The Class 10 mark sheet - bring the original and one photocopy

3. The Class 12 mark sheet - bring the original and one photocopy

4. Reserved category certificate if applicable (ST/SC/EWS/OBC/PD/CW/SG) -  bring the original and one photocopy

5. A Medical Fitness Certificate (Refer to the official information brochure for details) 

Also essential: A Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 95,000/- in favor of "JAC DELHI-2023 ADMISSION FEES". The DD should be payable at New Delhi. No other mode of payment will be accepted. 

Note- If you are unable to attend the spot round admissions, then you can send an authorized representative, but ensure that the above documents and DD are brought by the representative.

Outhouse Hindi Film Review

Outhouse directed by Sunil Sukthankar and produced by Mohan Agashe, also playing one of the characters, is a charming film on the generational divide. The film was screened last month at the Third Eye Asian Film Festival in Mumbai and Thane, Maharashtra. On the face of it, Outhouse is about two elders, namely Nana, played by Agashe, and Aadima played by Sharmila Tagore who find themselves in conflict over the rightful owner of her grandson Neel’s pet poodle after it goes missing. But within that story arc, the writer, the late Sumitra Bhave, makes the film a gentle paean on urban loneliness, working women’s struggles, the precocity of children, and the fraught terrain of marriages and peripatetic lives.
