Navy Children School, Karanja, Uran is a CBSE-affiliated school under the aegis of the Navy Education Society. The senior secondary co-ed English medium school is looking for qualified, trained, and experienced candidates for appointment to teaching positions for the primary, secondary, and higher secondary sections on a contractual basis. Navy Children School, Karanja, Uran is a coeducational school from Std. I to Std. XII. Currently,  there are more than 500 students on its rolls, with more than 30 qualified teachers, including a Special Educator and Counsellor, and non-teaching staff. The spacious campus has 22 classrooms equipped with smartboards, a composite science lab, a lab for each of the individual science subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, a Maths lab, and a Computer Science lab. There is also a music room, a well-stocked library, a medical room, and a playground for sports and games. The school's students have done well in the Board exams, and the school won the Rolling Trophy for Class X for the academic year 2021-22.

Navy Children School, Karanja, Uran is seeking credentials of trained and experienced candidates who are computer-literate with a good academic track record for teaching positions. You should have proficiency in computers and co-curricular activities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. The age criterion for all posts is 21 to 50 years as of 1st July 2024. The upper age limit may be relaxed for ex-NCS teachers based on years of experience, subject to the age not exceeding 55 years.

1. PRT Vacancies

There are vacancies for Primary Teachers (PRTs) for General, Hindi, and P.E.

Educational Qualifications: You should have the relevant Bachelor's Degree completed through a regular course with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university or institution and a B.Ed./D.El.Ed. in the relevant subject completed through a regular course with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subject from a recognized university or institution. 

Also acceptable is a Senior Secondary (Class XII or equivalent) from a recognized Board with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education completed as a regular course from a recognized university with at least 50%.

Experience: Applicants with teaching experience in reputed Foundational and Preparatory stage CBSE schools and CTET-qualified will be given preference.

Skills: You should have a good personality with excellent communication skills in English and the ability to communicate in Hindi.

Computer Literacy: You should have working knowledge of computers/AI tools/ERP software/ LMS packages and proficiency in MS Office.

2. TGT Vacancies

There are vacancies for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) for Maths, Science, Hindi, Sanskrit, and SST. Applicants should have studied the relevant subject at the senior secondary level.

Educational Qualifications: You should have the relevant Bachelor's Degree completed through a regular course with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the relevant subject from a recognized university or institution. It is also essential to have a B.Ed. or equivalent in the relevant subject completed through a regular course with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university or institution. Preference will be given to applicants with a Master's Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university or institution

Experience: You should have relevant teaching experience in a recognized school(s) with CTET qualification preferred.

3. PGT Vacancies

There are vacancies for Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) for Physics and Sports. Applicants should have studied the relevant subject at the senior secondary level and the Graduation level. 

Educational Qualifications: You should have a Master's Degree in the relevant subject obtained through a regular course with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university or institution and a B.Ed. in the relevant subject or its equivalent obtained through a regular course from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 50% marks.

Experience: Candidates with teaching experience in a recognized school(s) with CTET qualification will be given preference.

4. Other Teaching Vacancies

Art and Craft Teacher

Educational Qualification: You should have a Master's Degree in Fine Art (with a specialisation in Commercial Art or Fine Art) or cleared the Higher Secondary/Intermediate/Sr. School Certificate exam with a 5-year full-time/7-year part-time Diploma in Commercial Art from a recognized university/institution. 

Dance Teacher

Educational Qualification: You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Dance from a recognized university/institution.

Experience: Candidates with relevant teaching experience will be given preference, with experience in planning and conducting cultural programs of a school in at least three different dance categories.

Skills: Computer knowledge.

Special Educator

Educational Qualification: You should be a Graduate with a B.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. with a 2-year Diploma in Special Education or a Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Special Education with at least 50% marks from a recognized university/institution. Also accepted is any other equivalent qualification which is approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India as a regular course with at least 50% marks from a recognized university/institution. It is desirable to have a valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India.

Experience: Candidates with relevant experience in reputed CBSE schools will be given preference.

Non-Teaching Vacancies

1. Data Entry Operator: You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/IT from a recognized university with additional computer training or certification. It is essential to have a typing speed of a minimum of 60 w.p.m. 

2. Librarian: You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or a Bachelor's Degree in any subject with a one-year Diploma in Library Science completed as a regular course from a recognized university/institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. You should have a good personality with excellent communication skills in English and the ability to communicate in Hindi + you should have working knowledge of computers/AI tools/ERP software/ LMS packages and proficiency in MS Office.

3. IT Assistant: You should have a Degree/Diploma in IT or hardware maintenance or cleared 10+2 with ITI or Certification course in IT or hardware maintenance (or equivalent qualification in the Armed Forces) with at least three years of experience with adequate knowledge of maintenance of hardware and campus area network in a reputed organization. You should be able to correspond independently in English with good proficiency in MS Office tools. Candidates with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the rank of a PO or above, or equivalent in the Army/IAF.
