COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE E 2025 Applications open for Engineering Courses

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has announced the schedule of the online entrance exam for admission to undergraduate engineering courses in member engineering colleges in Karnataka for the academic session 2025-26. Students from the State of Karnataka as well as from other States can appear for the national level COMEDK UGET 2025 exam, which is a single common entrance test followed by centralized counselling. The exam is scheduled for 10th May 2025. On the same day is scheduled Uni-GAUGE E 2025 for students who wish to get admission to B.E./B.Tech. courses in private engineering universities across India. The partner universities are in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Nationality: You should be a citizen of India, or an Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO). OCI and PIO card holders, though, must obtain an eligibility certificate from the affiliating University, that is, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi) before applying for the exam.

2. Educational Qualification: For admission to B.E. courses, you should have passed the second PUC or the 10+2 Higher Secondary exam or an equivalent exam which is recognized by the State Govt./Central Govt. During the final two years of academics, you should have taken up Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.

In the case of a general merit candidate, it is required to have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and passed these subjects individually as well. Note that Physics and Mathematics are mandatory subjects, along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE/VTU will be adopted.

Important Notes

  • Since there are no lateral entry admissions, Diploma candidates are ineligible to take the Entrance Test.
  • It is mandatory to submit the original marks' card of the exam at the time of counselling as proof of eligibility, that is, of the marks scored as indicated by the original marks' card.
  • There shall be no Entrance Test conducted by COMEDK for candidates who wish to get admission to B. Arch. courses. The prescribed qualifying examination for admission to the B.Arch course is second PUC or 10+2 (refer to the information brochure for more details).

Application Process

Go through the information brochure and then register with a valid mobile number and email ID at https://cdn.digialm.com//EForms/configuredHtml/1022/92580/login.html

Fill in all the requisite details, and scan the following original documents (maximum size  160kb in .JPEG format only) which are required to be uploaded during the application process-

  1. The SSLC/10th marks card  
  2. A unique Govt. ID proof of candidate 
  3. A colour passport-size photo (it should be on a light background and not be more than three months old)
  4. Your signature on a white sheet of paper
  5. The signature of a parent on a white sheet of paper 
  6. A unique Govt. ID proof of a parent 
  7. If applying for a KKR seat then a KKR/HKR Certificate (371J) in your name(that is, in the name of the candidate) issued by an Asst. Commissioner who is in charge of the Revenue subdivision 
  8. SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable  
  9. Karnataka Domicile Certificate. Issued by Revenue authority not below the rank of Tahsildar, in the name of the candidate (Domicile is required only for candidates applicable for No. 7 and 8 as mentioned above only)

Pay the requisite online application fee as per the exam you are applying for, namely-

  • PCM COMEDK: Rs 1950 + convenience charges 
  • PCM Uni GAUGE: Rs. 1600 + convenience charges 
  • PCM-BOTH COMEDK and Uni-GAUGE - Rs 3200 + convenience charges

COMEDK UGET 2025 Test format

The entrance test is a Computer-based Test (CBT) based on the existing CBSE syllabus (11th Std.– 2023-24 Syllabus – around 33%; 12th Std.– 2024-25 Syllabus – around 67%).

The test is in English medium with a total of 180 multiple choice questions, 60 each for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each correct answer will be given 1 mark and no negative marks will be given for wrong answers. Mock tests will be available for practice on the official website. 

COMEDK UGET 2025 Schedule

  • Registration for COMEDK UGET /Uni-GAUGE E 2025 begins on 3rd February 2025
  • Mock Test available on 15th March 2025
  • Select fields can be edited from 11th to 14th April 2025
  • The Test Admission Ticket (TAT) can be downloaded from 30th April to 10th May 2025
  • COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE E 2025 Engineering Entrance Exam 2025 
  • The Provisional Answer Keys will be published on 14th May 2025
  • Objections/challenge of Provisional Answer keys can be done from 14th to 16th May 2025
  • The final Answer Keys will be published on 21st May 2025
  • The Test Score Cards will be available on 24th May 2025
