PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 Colaba Mumbai recruitment of Teachers, Staff 2025

PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 Colaba Mumbai, a CBSE-affiliated school is conducting walk-in interviews on the 3rd and 5th of March 20025 for recruiting a panel of temporary teachers on a contractual basis for the academic session 2025-26. 

The eligibility requirements for all posts are as per the recruitment rules of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and interested candidates should attend the interviews as per the scheduled date and time with relevant documents.

Interview Schedule

A. Interviews will be conducted on 3rd March 2025 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the following positions-

1. Primary Teacher

2. Balvatika Teacher

3. Counsellor

4. Yoga Instructor

5. Sports Instructor

6. Doctor

7. Nurse

8. Special Educator

9. Dance Instructor

B. Interviews will be conducted on 5th March 2025 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the following positions-

1. Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) for the following subjects: 

  • English
  • Hindi
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Commerce
  • Economics
  • History
  • Geography
  • Political Science
  • Computer Science

2. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) for the following subjects:

  • English
  • Hindi
  • Sanskrit
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Science
  • Computer Instructor
Eligibility Requirements

1. For Primary Teachers: The age limit for direct recruits is 30 years. There is no age bar in the case of employees of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and age relaxation for SC/ST and other categories is applicable as per Govt. rules. 

Qualification: Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent + passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE as per NCTE guidelines.

Candidates should be able to teach in English and Hindi. Computer knowledge is desirable.

2. For PGTs: The age limit for direct recruits is 40 years. There is no age bar in the case of employees of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and age relaxation for SC/ST and other categories is applicable as per Govt. rules. 

Qualification: The candidate should have completed a 2-year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. course of the Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject; or have a Master's Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant subject + a B.Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized university. 

Candidates should be able to teach in English and Hindi. Computer knowledge is desirable.

For the post of PGT Computer Science, the candidate should have a B.E or B. Tech. (Computer Science/IT) or B.E or B. Tech. (any stream) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computers or M.Sc (Computer Science)/ MCA or equivalent or B.Sc (Computer Science)/BCA or equivalent or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer and Post Graduate degree in any subject or ‘B’ Level from DOEACC and Post Graduate degree in any subject or ‘C’ Level from ‘DOEACC’ Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and Graduation.

3. For TGTs: The age limit for direct recruits is 40 years. There is no age bar in the case of employees of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and age relaxation for SC/ST and other categories is applicable as per Govt. rules. 

Qualification: The candidate should have completed a 4-year Integrated Degree Course of the Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate or a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects/combination of subjects and in aggregate. 

Candidates should have proficiency in teaching in English and Hindi, and it is desirable to have computer knowledge.

4. For Doctors: Minimum MBBS and registered with MCI.

5. For Nurses: Diploma holder.

6. For Counsellors: B.A./B.Sc. (Psychology) with a Certificate of Diploma in Counselling. Desirable- A minimum of one year experience in providing career/educational counselling to school students or working knowledge and experience in placement bureaus or registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India as a Vocational Counsellor.

Interview Process

Interested candidates must attend the interview at the scheduled time with all original documents of education, experience, etc along with one set of photocopies, and a passport-size photo.
