NIOS application for April 2014 exam for Class X and Class XII

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) invites applications for admissions for the April 2014 exam. NIOS is an examination Board of the Govt. of India which is similar to CBSE/CISCE. It is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
Features

  • Transfer of credits (up to 2 subjects from selected recognised Boards and up to 4 subjects if passed through NIOS)

Schedule of applying for NIOS Exam April 2014
1. Secondary (Class X) (Stream I, Block –I)
Date of admission: Up to 31st August 2013 (without late fee)

Eligibility criteria:
  • 14 years as on 31st July 2013
  • Class VIII passed or self-certificate (as prescribed in the admission form)
2. Senior Secondary (Class XII) (Stream I, Block –I)
Date of admission: Up to 15th September 2013

Eligibility criteria:
  • 15 years as on 31st July 2013
  • Secondary (Class Xth) passed from any recognised board.
How to apply
  • Students can avail of online admission facility
  • Students can take admission in offline mode through nearby NIOS accredited inistitutions / regional centres / sub-centres. Contact information of centres available here
