2014 L’Oréal India Scholarships for girls in science stream

The L'Oréal India for Young Women in Science scholarship is offered for girls from economically disadvantaged families who wish to pursue higher studies in science. The scholarship is being offered in association with the Indian National Commission for Cooperation and UNESCO.
 

Number of scholarships: 50

Scholarship Amount: Rs.2.5lakh each

Fields in which the L'Oréal Scholarship is offered:

• Medicine
• Engineering
• IT
• Pharmacy
• Biotechnology
• B.Sc.

 

Eligibility Criteria

• The student should have passed Std.XII (science stream) in the current academic year (March) from Delhi/NCR/Maharashtra/Andhra Pradesh/Karnataka
• The student should have secured a minimum of 85% in PCM/PCB
• The student should not be over 17 years of age

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of an assessment of their application form + personal interview. The candidate and her parents will have to attend the interview in Mumbai/Delhi/Bangalore/Hyderabad (whichever is nearest for the candidate) at their own cost.
