NINI Patna Rating Induction Course for inland vessels

The National Inland Navigation Institute, Inland Waterways Authority of India, Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India, invites applications for its Rating Induction Course for inland vessels. This is a residential course which will give the candidates, on successful completion of the course, a sailing career on inland vessels. Last date is 11th January 2016.

Eligibility requirements

• Educational qualification: You should be 10^th pass.
• Age criteria: You should be between 17 ½ years to 25 years as on 16^th February 2016 (relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates).
• Physical standards: You should be medically fit. Eyesight should be 6/6 in both eyes and no colour blindness.

Course features

• Duration: 6 months
• Fees: Rs.13,000/- (excluding boarding and lodging)
• Seat reservation: 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates and 27% for OBC candidates.

Selection process

There will be a qualifying test on 17^th January 2016. Those short-listed will appear for a Psychometric test and an interview to be held on the same day.
