Apply for Scholarships for Staffordshire University B.Sc.(Hons) Pharmaceutical Science course
Staffordshire University's Department of Biological Sciences invites applications from eligible students for admission to its BSc(Hons) Pharmaceutical Science course. The course for the next academic session will being in September 2017-2018.Scholarships are being offered to Indian students who are enrolling for the first time.
About BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science course
The aim of the course is to give you a better understanding of the molecular and cellular nature of the human body and the management of human health. You will also gain knowledge of the various aspects of drugs and medicines, including their biological delivery and activity, and their testing, regulation, production and quality assurance by analytical methods.
There are plenty of job opportunities on the successful completion of this course in various sectors, including pharmaceutical, bio-pharmaceutical, food processing, agricultural and other industries.
Course structure overview
Year 1: You will learn about the delivery of principles and concepts relating to pharmaceutical science. Small group tutorials will be scheduled alongside regular lectures and practical sessions.
Year 2: Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills will be the main focus, based on what you learned in Year 1. There is also work placement in year 2 on a flexible basis so as to work for you in progressing towards future career aspirations.
Year 3: Both core and optional modules will be part of the third year curriculum. There will be a final year research project in a topic of your choice.

Eligibility requirements
1. You should have attained a minimum of 75% overall score in Class 12.
2. English language requirement: overall IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in speaking, writing, reading and listening.
Course fee
1. For Home and Eu students: £9,250 per year of study
2. For International students: £10,900 per year of study
Scholarships
Indian students enrolling for the first time in September 2017 can apply for New Merit Scholarship of £1,000. Also, undergraduate Progression Scholarships of up to £2,000 is awarded on an annual basis.
