NIOS application for April 2018 exam for Class X and Class XII Stream-1, Block I
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) invites
applications for admissions for the April 2018 exam, Stream-1, Block I.This stream is open for new learners
for the exam scheduled for April 2018 as per the eligibility
criteria for Secondary and Senior Secondary levels. These Learners
will be eligible to appear in public exam first time in April 2018.
About NIOS
NIOS is an examination Board of the Govt. of India which is similar to CBSE/CISCE. It is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
Supporting documents:
(i) Attested copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or District Office of the Registrar of Birth and Deaths for all born on or after 26.01.1989
OR
(ii) Original Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate showing applicant's date of birth, issued by the last school attended by the applicant. In case of Govt. schools the transfer certificate/school leaving certificate should be signed by the Principal while in the case of Private schools it should also be countersigned by the competent education authority of State/or District Education Officer.
2. For Senior Secondary (Class XII)
Attested copy of the Certificate of Matriculation/Secondary Examination having a record of the Date of Birth. (No other proof of age will be accepted for Sr. Secondary admission).

Features
- Study material will be sent to you at your address or you can collect from your allotted Accredited Institution (AI), where also your Personal Contact Program (PCP) will be organized.
- Practicals and Practicals Exam will be conducted at the allotted AI.
- The Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) will be available in your study material or you can download it from the NIOS website
Eligibility requirements
1. For Secondary (Class X)
- Age criteria:14 years as on 31st July, 2016 (born on or before 31st July 2002)
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Certificate of Class VIII passed, or Self Certificate (as mentioned at the back of the admission form) attested by a Gazetted Officer
Supporting documents:
(i) Attested copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or District Office of the Registrar of Birth and Deaths for all born on or after 26.01.1989

(ii) Original Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate showing applicant's date of birth, issued by the last school attended by the applicant. - Age criteria: 15 years as on 31st July 2016 (born on or before 31st July 2001)
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Copy of the Certificate of the Secondary Examination passed from a recognized Board of Secondary Education duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
Attested copy of the Certificate of Matriculation/Secondary Examination having a record of the Date of Birth. (No other proof of age will be accepted for Sr. Secondary admission).
