Indian Institutes of Management CAT 2020 online registrations open

Are you searching for the IIM CAT 2020 online application notification? The Indian Institutes of Management have announced the schedule for the Common Admission Test 2020 (CAT 2020), which will be conducted in two sessions on 29th November 2020.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a mandatory pre-requisite for admission to various Postgraduate and Fellow programs that are offered by the Indian Institutes of Management in India. The scores of CAT 2020 will also be permitted to be used by listed non-IIM member institutes, but the IIMs will not play any role in the selection process of those institutes.

Eligibility criteria for CAT 2020

You must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. For SC, ST and PwD candidates, 45% is the minimum requirement in the qualifying Degree exam. In case you are in the final year of the Degree course and are awaiting the results, then also you can apply and join the IIM program, but it is then mandatory to submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of the  University/Institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) which clearly states that you have completed all the requisite criteria to obtain the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate.

Candidates who have completed a professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) with min. 50% marks (45% for SC, ST and PwD candidates) can also appear for CAT 2020.

Registration Fees

For SC, ST and PwD category candidates: Rs.1000/-.

For all other categories of candidates: Rs.2000/-.

IIM CAT 2020 Important Dates

Registration opens: 5th August 2020 10 a.m. onwards.

Registration closes: 16th August 2020 at 5 p.m.

Admit Card available to download: between 28th October 2020 and 29th November 2020.

Date of CAT 2020: 29th November 2020.

Result of CAT 2020: Second week of January 2021 (Tentative date).

Deadline to submit the qualifying degree/equivalent mark sheet and certificate: 31st December 2021.

Test Centres: CAT 2020 will be conducted at 156 centres in India. You are allowed to select up to six test cities in order of your preference.
