Online applications open for BIRAC industry innovation and academia research proposals

Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), which has been established by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India invites proposals for development, validation and pre-commercialization of products and technologies under two schemes, i4 and PACE.

i4 – Intensifying the Impact of Industrial Innovation

This scheme supports industry through Small Business Innovation Research Initiative (SBIRI) and Biotechnology Industry Partnership Program (BIPP)

PACE – Promoting Academic Research Conversion to Enterprise

This scheme supports academia through Academic Innovation Research (AIR) and Contract Research Scheme (CRS).

Eligibility criteria

The proposals should be only in these priority areas:

• Import substitutes
• Plant and Soil Health Management

The last date for submission of proposals is 31st March 2021, up to 5.30 p.m.
