ONGC Foundation Scholarships 2020-21 for SC, ST, OBC and General Category students
General information
- For SC and ST category students: 1000 scholarships
- For OBC category students: 500 scholarships
- For General category students: 500 scholarships
The scholarship amount for each of the above schemes is Rs.48,000/- p.a. and will be awarded to meritorious students who are pursuing a professional course in Engineering, MBBS, and Master's Degree course in MBA, Geology, and Geophysics. Selection for the scholarships will be done on the basis of aggregate marks that are obtained in the qualifying exam as prescribed for each of the eligible courses for study.
ONGC Scholarships for General Category UG course - 2020-2021
Age criteria: The maximum age acceptable is 30 years as of 1st July 2020.
Educational criteria: You should have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th class for Engineering and MBBS disciplines. The overall grade point average (OGPA/CGPA) should be a minimum of 6.0 on the 10 points scale of the grading system.
Income criteria: Income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh per annum.
ONGC Scholarship for General Category for PG courses 2020-2021
Age criteria: The maximum age acceptable is 30 years as of 1st July 2020.
Educational criteria: You should have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in graduation for Postgraduate courses, that is, Geology or Geophysics or MBA. The overall grade point average (OGPA/CGPA) should be a minimum of 6.0 on the 10 points scale of the grading system.
Income criteria: Income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh per annum.

Age criteria: The maximum age acceptable is 30 years as of 1st July 2020.
Educational criteria: You should have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th class for Engineering and MBBS disciplines. The overall grade point average (OGPA/CGPA) should be a minimum of 6.0 on the 10 points scale of the grading system.
Income criteria: The Gross joint income of the family from all sources during a financial year should not be more than Rs. 4.50 lakhs per annum.

Application procedure
You have to visit the official website www.ongcscholar.org and apply through the 'Scholarship Tab'. Ensure that you submit the required supporting documents and that these documents are certified and attested by the respective Dean/Head/Principal of the Institute/University. The list of documents to be given for verification to the Institute/School/college are-
- Caste Certificate
- Proof of age: Submit a copy of proof for the Date of Birth, such as the 10th mark sheet or the Birth certificate
- Annual Income Certificate of family
- 12th or consolidated Mark sheet (As applicable)
- Bank details in the ECS form: In the prescribed format given hereinafter (Annexure B).
- Copy of PAN card
- Copy of Adhaar Card
- Undertaking
The last date to submit applications is 6th July 2021.
