DRDO Naval Materials Research Lab Ambernath Junior Research Fellowships with stipend

Looking for JRF opportunities for science or engineering postgraduates with a Govt. organization in Maharashtra? The Naval Materials Research Laboratory, Ambernath of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) is conducting walk-in interviews for Junior Research Fellows (JRFs). Appointed candidates will receive a stipend with HRA.

Number of JRFs

• Physics/Chemistry: 2
• Physical Chemistry: 1
• Organic Chemistry: 1 
• Inorganic Chemistry: 1 
• Metallurgy/Mechanical: 2

Tenure 

Selected candidates will be appointed initially for two years, and this may be extended as per rules. 

Stipend

Appointed candidates will receive a stipend of Rs.31,000/- per month + House Rent Allowance as per the rules.

Eligibility requirements

1. Age criteria: Maximum 28 years as on the date of the interview. This will be relaxed by five years for SC and ST candidates and by three years for OBC candidates.

2. Educational Qualifications: Postgraduate Degree with First Division and NET qualification with validity. For Metallurgy/Mechanical - B.Tech. with a valid GATE score.

Interview schedule

Candidates should attend the walk-in-interview with their Biodata, affixed with a passport size photo in the right top corner, along with all original certificates/testimonials, caste certificate as applicable. For employed candidates, they must also bring a NOC from the employer (Govt./PSU/Autonomous bodies). Attested photocopies of all documents should also be brought. 

Date and Time of interview: 29th November 2021, at 11:00hrs.

Reporting Time for the interview: 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

Venue: Naval Materials Research Laboratory (NMRL), Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence, Shil Badlapur Road, Ambernath (East), Dist. Thane - 421506, Maharashtra.

Important notes

Shortlisted candidates may be required to stay on 29th November 2021 also for the final interview selection process, for which they have to make their own arrangements. The offer of the Fellowship dies not confer any right on the Fellows for absorption in DRDO/NMRL.
