Applications open for L&T Build India Scholarship with high stipend 2022

Graduates keen to pursue higher studies in the field of construction can apply for the Larsen and Tubro (L&T) Build India Scholarship (BIS). L&T pays the fees for the postgraduate M.Tech. course in Construction Technology & Management at reputed educational institutions in India and, once you successfully complete the course, you get the opportunity to work in L&T Construction. 

About the L&T BIS 2022 scholarship program

The M.Tech. program in Construction Technology & Management can be pursued at any of these institutes: IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, NITK Surathkal, or NIT Trichy. However, before you start the course, you are required to sign an undertaking for a value of Rs. 5lakhs that you will complete the course and subsequently if selected to join the company, that you will work for the company for a minimum of five years.

Stipend

You will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 13,400/- p.m. The Tuition fee and the sponsorship fee will be settled by L&T directly to the institute where you will take up the course. A sponsored candidate is required to pay the fees for hostel accommodation and the Mess fee.

Eligibility requirements

You should be pursuing the final year B.E. or B. Tech. program and will be graduating by June- August 2022 from core Civil Engineering & Core Electrical Engineering fields. 

Note that candidates who are pursuing a Mechanical Engineering course are ineligible to apply, as also those who have graduated in the year 2021 or prior to that. So do not register or apply if you fall in any of these categories.

It is advisable to keep ready scanned copies of all the relevant documents, that is, academic and other certificates/testimonials), a photo, and keep ready required information such as marks. 

Key Dates

  • The last date to submit the online application is 31st March 2022.
  • The Written Test is scheduled between April 2022 - May 2022.
  • The interviews and related procedures will be scheduled between May 2022 and June 2022.
  • The letters of intimation of Sponsorship will be despatched in the third week of June 2022.
