NATA 2024 Changes in Session Format and Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch. Course Admissions
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) with the approval of the Central Govt. of India. Other than the scores in an aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) [that is, JEE], NATA scores are considered for admission to the 5-year B.Arch. degree course. Note that NATA is only the qualifying test, and you must also fulfill the required eligibility criteria for admission to the university/institution. NATA guages the candidate's cognitive skills, logical reasoning, visual perception, ability to think critically, etc.
NATA Two-session Schedule
This year, NATA-2024 for admission to B.Arch. for the academic year 2024-2025 has been scheduled on all weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) in two sessions starting from April to July 2024, but subject to the number of registered candidates.
The two sessions are-
Session 1: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (180 mins/3 hours) [Reporting time- 9 a.m.]
Session 2: 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. (180 mins/3 hours) [Reporting time- 12.30 noon]
You can appear for a maximum of three attempts in NATA 2024 in a single academic year. The best score out of all the attempts will be considered for the declaration of results. The score of the NATA Test will be valid for two academic years.
Important note- You must take the original Appointment Card with you to the test centre along with other required documents as listed in the official brochure.
Change in Eligibility Criteria
Earlier, the requirement for NATA was - (1) You should have passed or are appearing in the 10+1 exam with PCM Subjects; (2) passed or are appearing in the 10+2 exam with PCM subjects; (3) passed or are appearing in the 10+3 Diploma exam with Mathematics as subjects.

You should have passed the 10+2 exam or an equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies ith at least 45% marks in aggregate.
or
You should have passed the 10+3 Diploma exam with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
Registration Process
Registration for NATA 2024 should be done online at https://nata.thinkexam.com/
You have to upload a recent passport-size colour photo and your signature in jpg/jpeg format, and pay the non-refundable application fee (refer to the official brochure to know the dimensions of the images to be uploaded and the application fee). Do not forget to choose the the city of Test centre when filling up the registration form, and download a copy of the confirmation page after completing the entire process.
The time schedule of the registration process, including when you can download the Appointment Card for the test will be displayed on the official website later.
