Shri Brihad Bharatiya Samaj Scholarships for UG and PG studies in IITs and Indian Universities 2024-25

Shri Brihad Bharatiya Samaj, a charitable Trust offering financial assistance for medical services and education, has announced applications open for scholarships to meritorious Indian students for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Indian universities for the academic year 2024-25. The scholarships are not for students seeking financial assistance to pursue studies abroad. Applications are not online. Interested students should obtain the prescribed application form from the office in Mumbai.

Who can apply

The scholarships are for Indian students and overseas students of Indian origin. Students receiving scholarships from the Central Government of India and/or the State Government or from their university/college/educational institution are not eligible to apply for the Shri Brihad Bharatiya Samaj Scholarships.

Courses for which Scholarships are offered

You should be undergoing a full-time Degree course at an Indian university in the below-mentioned fields, and those pursuing a full-time course in an IIT are also eligible to apply. 

1. Courses in Medicine: MBBS, BDS, Ayurvedic, and Homeopathic courses

2. Engineering Courses

3. Technology Courses

4. Pharmacy Courses

5. Computer Science Courses

6. Agriculture Courses

7. Veterinary Courses

8. Nursing Courses

9. Education Courses

Note- You can also apply for the scholarship if you are pursuing a postgraduate course in the above fields.

Shri Brihad Bharatiya Samaj Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

A. Educational Qualifications (as applicable): 

1. You should be a first-year student with a minimum of 70% marks/scored at least 60% in the last university exam. 

2. Female students who are studying in the first year and above in the fields of nursing and education with at least 45% marks.

B. Family Income: Students whose parents/guardians' total annual income is Rs.1,50,000/- or less will be given preference when selecting the recipients for the scholarships. 

C. Age Criterion: not known.

Application Procedure

You can obtain the application form and a copy of the rules governing the scholarship at the Samaj office. You have the option of receiving the prescribed application form and a copy of the rules by postal mail by sending a self-addressed large envelope with a stamp of Rs. 20/- put on it to the Samaj office.

Important Dates

The application form will be available at the Samaj office only up to 30th August 2024.

The last date to submit the completed application form along with the relevant documents at the Samaj office is 9th September 2024.
