Kittur Rani Channamma Residential Sainik School for Girls Class VI admissions 2025-26

Kittur Rani Channamma Residential Sainik School for Girls (KRCRSSG), Kittur, Belgavi, Karnatiaka has released the notification for admission to Class VI for the academic session 2025-26. The CBSE-affiliated senior secondary school is a boarding school for girls between from Std. 6 to Std. 12. 

Admission will be given based on the scores in the All India Entrace Exam, followed by an interview, physical fitness test, and a medical exam conducted by the school.

Brief Profile of the School

Kittur Rani Channamma Residential Sainik School for Girls (KRCRSSG) is a residential boarding school for girls with classes from Std. 6 to Std. 12. The school is affiliated with the CBSE, Delhi and offers the same academic and co-scholastic activities that are typical of Sainik schools in India. Students are encouraged to participate in sports, NCC, Scouts and Guides, and NDA training programs. The campus has all the required infrastructure and facilities, including spacious classrooms and accomodation with mess, a medical faiclitity, science and computer labs, a library, and faciltiies for sports and games. With focus on discipline, academic excellence and participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, students grow up into confident young ladies.

At the Class 12 level, students can take up subjects of the science stream. A highlight of the school is preparing students to appear in prestigiuous national-level competitive exams, such as JEE, NEET, etc.

Eligibility Requirements

For the academic session 2025-26, the student should have passed Class 5. 

Date of birth criterion: Those born between 1st June 2013 and 31st May 2015 are eligible to apply for admission.

School Fee Structure

The total fee is Rs. 2,24,300/- which includes lodging, boarding, uniform, etc. Kit and clothing items will be charged extra.

Scholarships

Merit Scholarship as per Government of Karnataka Scholarship Scheme will be awarded to the eligible girls of Karnataka domicile. Girls who are awarded the  merit scholarship will be required to pursue their education in the Kittur Rani Channamma Residential Sainik School till the completion of Class XII (Science Stream) failing which, the full scholarship amount received by the girl will be recovered at the time of issue of the Transfer Certificate

All India Entrace Exam

The All India Entrace Exam will be conducted on 2nd February 2025 from 10 a.m. to  12.30 noon in Optimal Mark Recognition (OMR) pattern with a total of 300 marks. The sections and marks for each are as follows-

1. Section A: General Mathematics - 150 marks
2. Section B: General Knowledge: 50 marks
3. Section C: English Language Proficiency Test: 50 marks
4. Intelligent Quotient/Mental Ability: 50 marks

Medium: English for the English Language Proficiency Test, and English/Kannada for the other sections of the exam.

Exam Fee

The exam fee for the All India Entrace Exam is Rs. 2000/-. SC/ST Karnataka domicile candidates are required to pay Rs.1600/-. The fee has to be paid in online mode.

At the Exam Centre

Candidates should be punctual, arriving at the exam centre before 8 a.m. along with the Hall Ticket, transparent clip board, ballpoint pen and pencil. Note that mobile phones, watches, calculators, and compass boxes are not allowed. The Hall Tickets will be sent to the candidates by ordinary post only

After the Exam

Only those who qualify the exam as per the Merit List will be contacted. They will receive a Call Letter for Viva - voice at Kittur on an appointed day.

Note that it is mandatory to submit attested photo copies of Caste & Category, Kittur Hobli and Defence Certificates, if applicable with the application form, failing which the candidate shall be considered under General Category

Admission on FFP Scheme

Candidates who are low in the order of merit for admission to KRCRSSG may be considered in case there are vacancies on Full Fee Payment (FFP) Scheme. For this scheme, parents must put in a written request, expressing their willingness in the application form for necessary consideration by the school.

• The last date to submit the duly filled in application form without a penalty is 20th December 2024.
• Sale of Prospectus-cum-Application Form with a penalty: 16th to 31st December 2024  the fee is Rs. 2,500/- (Rs. 2,100 /- SC/ST Karnataka domicile candidates).
• The last date to submit the dully filled in application form with a penalty is 5th January 2025.
