Govt. of India Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme 2025 - 26 - Eligibility, Amount, Application Process
The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), which is under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, has issued the notification for the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme (CTSSS) for 2025 - 26. Applications should be submitted by 30th June 2025.
Overview
The Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme (CTSSS) is offered to children fulfilling the required eligibility criteria to receive specialised training in various cultural fields, including traditional forms of music, dance, drama and painting, sculpture, crafts and literary activities. Under this scholarship scheme, a special focus is given to rare art forms which are in the process of becoming extinct.
Scholarship Amount
INR 3,600/- per year for the scholarship holder + reimbursement of the actual tuition fee paid to the Guru/Teacher, up to a ceiling of INR 9,000/- per year.
Scholarship Duration
The scholarship will be available for two years and is renewable after every two years till the completion of the first university degree stage of education or up to the age of 20 years, whichever is earlier, subject to the awardee maintaining satisfactory progress.
Number of Scholarships
A total of 650 scholarships will be awarded as follows-
1. 375 Scholarships for General Categories and others
2. 100 Scholarships for Tribal Culture/ST applicants
3. 125 Scholarships for Traditional Artist Families
4. 20 Scholarships for Differently-abled applicants (Divyang)
5. 30 Scholarships for Creative Writing/Literary Arts
Eligibility Requirements
1. Age criteria: The child should be in the age group of 10 to 14 years. The child's date of birth should be between 1st July 2011 and 30th June 2015 (both days inclusive)
2. Educational Status: The child should be studying either in a recognised school or belong to a family practising traditional performing arts.

Important Dates
The duly-filled application form along with relevant documents should reach CCRT, New Delhi-110075 on or before 30th June 2025 (Monday). It is advisable to send the application early to avoid postal delay, as applications received after the last date will not be considered.
