NBEMS Diploma Final Theory Exam June 2025 - Eligibility, Format, Schedule, Application Procedure
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the schedule for the NBEMS Diploma Final Theory Examination in June 2025. You should be registered with NBEMS as a NBEMS Diploma trainee, have obtained the requisite period of training as prescribed by NBEMS, and have fulfilled other eligibility criteria. The exam will be conducted on 9th, 10th, and 11th June 2025. On qualifying both, the NBEMS Diploma Final Theory and the Practical Exams, you shall be conferred with a Diploma certificate in the speciality concerned.

The NBEMS Diploma Final Theory Examination will be conducted in the following specialities:
- Anaesthesiology
- Family Medicine
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Ophthalmology
- Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)
- Paediatrics
- Radio Diagnosis
- Tuberculosis and Chest Disease
Eligibility Requirements
1. You should have undergone training as an NBEMS Diploma trainee at any of the NBEMS-accredited institutes after having registered with NBEMS and are completing the prescribed training by 31st December 2025. Note that you can undertake the NBEMS Diploma Final Examination in the same speciality.
2. It is mandatory to have appeared in at least one Formative Assessment Test (FAT)/Internal Assessment conducted by the Hospital or a FAT conducted by NBEMS during the NBEMS Diploma training.
3. Prerequisite: You must submit the Training Completion Certificate indicating details of leave taken, if any, during the Diploma training.
Important Notes:
- If you have completed the NBEMS Diploma training while applying for the NBEMS Diploma Final Examination, then you must submit the Final Training Completion Certificate (FTCC) as per the prescribed format (Annexure IV of the information bulletin).
- If your NBEMS Diploma training is ongoing while applying for the NBEMS Diploma Final Examination, then you must submit the Provisional Training Completion Certificate (PTCC) in the prescribed format (Annexure III of the information bulletin).
Exam Format
Theory Exam (maximum 3 hours): There are three question papers, each of 100 marks. You must score a minimum of 150 in the aggregate of the three papers to qualify the theory exam. Only on qualifying will you be permitted to sit for the practical exam.
Practical Exam: This comprises of Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) and/or Clinical Examination, and Viva with a total of 300 marks. You must score a minimum of 150 in the aggregate to qualify the practical exam.
Exam FeeThe exam fee for the NBEMS Diploma Final Theory Exam is Rs. 5,250/- for Theory & Practical, and Rs. 5,250/- for only Practical.
Payment mode: The fee should be paid online with a UPI/Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India.
NBEMS Diploma Final Theory Exam Schedule
- Online Submission of Application Form: 30th April 2025 (3 p.m. onwards) to 20th May 2025, till 11.55 p.m.
- Candidates will be informed about the Test city on 28th May 2025
- Admit Cards will be issued through the online exit exam portal on 5th June 2025
- Theory Exam Dates: 9th June 2025 (Monday) from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, 9th June 2025 (Tuesday) from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, 10th June 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
