PGETA 2025 Additional Test for Post Graduate Programs in Architecture

The Council of Architecture, Ministry of Education, Government of India, has issued a notification regarding the conduct of an additional Postgraduate Entrance Test in Architecture (PGETA) to provide architecture aspirants with a further opportunity to apply for admission to the 2-year Postgraduate programs at CoA-approved educational institutions across India. PGETA is a national-level admission test mandatory to be eligible for admission to the PG programs in architecture. CoA is awarding scholarships to the top 100 qualified candidates of PGETA-2025 who secure admission to postgraduate programs at CoA-approved architectural institutions.

Candidates who are keen to take admission into Postgraduate Programs in Architecture should register themselves for the Postgraduate Entrance Test in Architecture (PGETA)-2025 at the official PGETA website. The PGETA-2025 Brochure is also available on the portal.

FAQs

Who can apply for PGETA?

  1. You should have passed a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or its equivalent with at least 50% in aggregate/equivalent CGPI.
  2. You are eligible to apply if you are in the final year of the architecture program.
  3. There is no upper age limit.

What is the format and duration of PGETA?

PGETA is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) of 100 questions, conducted online at designated centres across India. The test duration is two hours, generally conducted between 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

What is the syllabus of PGETA?

PGETA will gauge your core knowledge of architecture and professional skills. The 100 questions are demarcated in sections as follows-

  • Architecture and Design - 64 questions
  • Professional Abilities and Skill-enhancement courses - 16 questions
  • Building Sciences and Applied Engineering - 14 questions
  • Professional Electives -  6 questions.

How many times can I appear for PGETA?

You can appear for PGETA up to three times in an academic year. 

Which PGETA is considered if I appear more than once?

The best score of the PGETA is considered.

For how long is the PGETA score valid?

The PGETA score remains valid for two academic years.
