NATA Architecture Entrance Exam 2026 - Schedule, Eligibility Criteria, Format, Fee, Application Procedure, Brochure

The Council of Architecture (COA), an autonomous statutory body under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, will conduct the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)-2026. 

NATA is an aptitude test if for those seeking admission to the first year of the 5-year B.Arch. Degree program at approved architectural institutions for the academic session 2026-2027. 

The test will be conducted on designated Fridays and Saturdays in two sessions starting from April 4, 2026 to June 13, 2026. 

The NATA-2026 score will be valid only for the academic session 2026-27.


Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible to appear for NATA-2026, you should fulfill these criteria-

You should have passed or are appearing in the 10+2 exam with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either chemistry or biology or a technical vocational subject or computer science or information technology or informatics practices or engineering graphics or business studies and with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

OR

You should have passed or are appearing in the 10+3 Diploma exam with Mathematics as a subject and with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

NATA 2026 Format

Part A - Drawing and Composition Test is in offline mode. It is of 90 minutes duration, with 80 marks

Part B - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and (NCQ - No Choice Questions) is a computer-based online Adaptive Test. It is of 90 minutes duration, with 120 marks

Medium of test: English and Hindi

NATA 2026 Application Fee

The application fee per test is as follows-

  • For General/OBC (NCL) candidates: Rs.1,750/-
  • For SC/ST/EWS/PwD candidates: Rs.1,250/-
  • For Transgender candidates: Rs.1,000/-
  • For candidates outside India: Rs.15,000/- 

NATA 2026 Schedule

The NATA 2026 is scheduled for-

1. Every Friday and Saturday from April 4, 2026 to June 13, 2026 (Phase 1), except on public holidays

2. On August 7 and August 8, 2026 (Phase 2)

Closing dates-

The closing date for online registration for the Friday test (afternoon session) is the Monday before the upcoming weekend exam, and you can register up to 11.59 p.m.

The closing date for online registration for the Saturday test (morning and afternoon sessions) is the Tuesday before the upcoming weekend exam, and you can register up to 11.59 p.m.

Application Correction Window-

The window to make corrections in your application closes on Tuesday, at 11.59 p.m. for the Friday test (afternoon session) and Wednesday, at 11.59 p.m. for the Saturday test (morning and afternoon sessions).

Admit Card availability-

The Admit Card will be available to download from Tuesday for that week’s Friday exam and from Wednesday for that week’s Saturday exam.

NATA 2026 Results-

The results will be declared within 7 days from the date of the test.

NoteYou can register for one test or a maximum of two Tests during Phase-1 OR only one Test during Phase-2 of NATA, in one academic year.
